Other than that, no real complaints about the hotel itself. If I were the owners, I would invest in some sort of safety officer crew to patrol at night and I would update the continental breakfast. This place could really be a great hotel with the indoor pool, putt putt and shuffle board if it were safer and more updated.
The Clarion Inn in College Park, Maryland is an awesome throwback hotel! It's lobby is this vintage pool lounge complete with hot tub, putting green, pool table, foosball..I was delighted. Room was clean, new flat screen TV was a nice touch, and the shower had great water pressure. Ample parking made all my luggage not an issue. I hope to be back soon to try the Indian restaurant on site!
We would like to give a huge shout out to our friends here for all that they do to provide a top-notch stay for our clients on tour like Albert Kirchner. The room is very nice, clean and quiet. There's a huge indoor pool, and a free breakfast in the morning!
Our stay was okay. The room was to be expected for the price we paid. "You get what you pay for". We stayed for two nights, customer service was good- no complaints there. I wish the continental breakfast would have had more healthy food rather than just pastries, waffles and donuts. We did have an issue with noise. Every night around 4am there were men running up and down the stairs outside our room, and up and down the halls. The walls of these rooms are paper thin so we heard everything they said and did and it happened like clock work as if it was an every night thing. The morning after our first night we woke up to another guests car having been broken into over night, with her rear window shattered. We can't help but think that the 4am marathon outside our room was tied to the burglary of the car.
Really enjoyed this hotel. We checked in late and the front desk was very friendly and got us into our room right away. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a large recreation area on the center of the hotel with some games and dining area. Convenient location for travelers close to 95, great for a restful night. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
Amazing location situated right by Baltimore and D.C.! The rooms were cozy and while the bathrooms were a little small for a big guy like me, they were very clean and the rooms were well taken care of. Very nice couch and furnishings with a mini fridge perfect for a growler from your favorite Baltimore or D.C. craft beer spot! Indoor pool, fitness room, and breakfast coupled with a friendly staff made this a great stay for my two nights in College Park. With only a 15-20 minute drive to the Silver Springs for some great music venues (off peak hours) I will certainly be back here the next time I need a room near College Park.
